A vigorous, upright, deciduous shrub with dark green leaves and single flowers that have violet-purple petals and red sepals and tube. one of the first Fuchsias to bloom.

full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained, fertile soil.

Soak before planting and keep moist until established.

prune in mid spring to encourage better flowering. Avoid winter pruning as this may lead to frost damage of new shoots.
